Congratulations!
Selecting the right window treatment solves so many problems. It not only beautifies your room but it also provides insulation and privacy. It also protects your furniture and rugs from fading. But many of you are getting bored with the hum-drum selection at Home Depot and the local blind store. And frankly, I don’t blame you! Not only are the choices uninspiring but the quality is questionable and getting custom sizes is a hassle. So where should you turn? The Shade Store!
The Shade Store is a family business that has successfully served designers and the public for 60 years. During that time they paid careful attention to what their customers were asking for and responded with:
- Wide Product Selection – Solar shades, woven woods, draperies, blinds, panel systems and much more.
- Great Customer Service – You can call them, chat online or email them. Their customer service people are fantastic and will help you measure, order samples and find the best product for your home.
- Fast Service – Most styles ship in 10 days or less. That’s impressive!
Right now The Shade Store is having their Winter Sale which includes 10% off and Free Shipping!
They make all their products in the USA and have a fantastic selection of eco-friendly products as well. As a designer, I use The Shade Store because all these benefits make my job easy and my clients happy. So whether your style is traditional, modern, or exotic; you will find the perfect window treatment for your room. Their motto is “Custom, Made Simple” and that’s excatly how I like it!
Ready to Cover Your Windows?

Sand flocke blackout is a really beautiful innovative window covering! I really love this and I could use it in my son’s room. The reason he needs blackout drapes is because his room is on the side of the house where the sun just beats down in the summer and there is no way to shade it because the previous owners have concrete surrounding it. These would be sharp and help keep the sun at bay and cool down the room. Striking!
Thank you!

Our master bathroom is next on the remodel list, (carpet in the bathroom – eek!) and has a huge window along one wall that faces the street. And it’s a small bathroom, so this takes up the entire wall. Right now there’s a terrycloth shower curtain over it, and though we’ve tested several times to make sure no one can see in at night, I’m still paranoid about it. I’d love to put up the doverwood blinds! They’d be perfect.
February 4th, 2009 at 5:00 pm
I think I’d choose the Doverwood White Wood blinds for my bedroom.
February 4th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
I would choose the Standard Woven Wood Shade in “Jamaica”, 64 x 82, which would run me about $189.98, for my patio enclosure – as a privacy shade between our home and the neighbor’s. We would take it down in the Winter, even though our Winters are still fairly warm in California. I’ve been waiting to do this for a long time but haven’t had the “extra” money to do it, so the GC would be so awesome!! Thanks for the great giveaway!

February 6th, 2009 at 8:37 am
Hi, I just redid my daughter’s room, now the guest room and my daughter was real proud of my efforts declaring that it looked boutiquey. How I got that effect in a log cabin, I don’t know but the one thing we noticed is the window needs a blind. At the Shade Store I think one of their Standard Woven Wood Shades would fit right in to the rustic lodge look we have going on. Thanks for a great giveaway!
