Fall Fake-out in Florida

For those of you who don’t know… I write to you each week from Sunny South Florida. It’s where my life is right now with my wonderful husband, Tim, my pup, Roxie and a gaggle of family and friends. 
November through May, it’s a wonderful spot with blue skies and mild temps. But I am going to make a confession right now…during September and October I just wanted a little Autumn! I grew up in New Jersey and you can make all the NJ jokes you like but my childhood Autumn memories are still picture perfect. Crisp autumn mornings stomping through crunchy leaves on the way to school. Week by week, more porches full of mums and pumpkins. Autumn was cozy, beautiful and graceful.

But now I bring you back to Florida. Earlier this week, we had a bit of a fall fake-out. The temps dropped a bit and the humidity went down. I practiced yoga outside in the garden and Tim and I were no longer trying to convince each other it was not our turn to walk the dog. All was right with the world…until yesterday. The humidity returned and I here I sit, longing for Fall once again.
