Does MyDesignSecrets.com sell home furnishings? We do not sell products directly. MyDesignSecrets.com is an online guide to help you find the vendors who carry the products you are looking for in the styles that suit your needs. When you search for furnishings, you will be provided with a categorized list of retailers that carry those products.

How do you select the Vendors that are included on your site? These are retailers that Lorrie has carefully researched, chosen and categorized by style and product offerings. She feels they will provide you with a wide range of quality products to help you complete your home design. The websites are monitored to assure they are easy to navigate and that they provide basic customer service options via phone and/or email.

Will I see the specific product I am searching for on a MyDesignSecrets.com search? Your results will not include the specific product, but rather the retailers that carry that product in the style you are looking for. We do this in an effort to acquaint you with retailers that reflect your style. Then you can visit their website to see their most current offerings since retailers change their products often.

Can you notify me when new products or articles are featured? We would be happy to! Please click here to subscribe to My Design Secrets Updates.

Why did I see other items listed at the vendor’s site that you did not include in the category search? We may not list the categories for everything a site carries. We list the company according to the items for which they carry a reasonable selection. For example, we won’t list a company for having dining chairs if they only have 2 options. In our opinion, we would waste your “search” time.

When I clicked on a link to a vendor from your website, it took me to their website, but no option for purchase. Was this an error in the database?
We sometimes list websites that do not sell directly from their site. These are the manufacturers’ websites and by visiting them directly, you can see the wide selection they carry. The idea is to give you the kind of leverage a professional designer may have when searching for the right products for your home. These sites will direct you to a dealer in your area and you then have the option to order those products. Some examples of such products are lighting, fans, flooring, and large furniture manufacturers.

Are the Vendors paying to be listed on your site? We do not receive any payment to include a vendor on our site. Vendors can, however, ”sponsor” a category and then you will see their name or logo on the page. Vendors sometimes approach us to be included on our site and we consider their requests, but there is no guarantee they will be listed unless they meet Lorrie’s high standards.

What if I have a problem using one of the Retailers featured on the My Design Secrets website? We make every effort to ensure you have a great experience at MyDesignSecrets.com. We employ high standards in screening the retailers; however, occasionally one of our guests may experience a problem with a certain vendor.

Before ordering we suggest that you review each vendor’s sales policy. That way you can familiarize yourself with all of the terms of purchse and be clear on the retailer’s return policies. Should you encounter a challenge, refer to the retailer’s service protocol outlined on their website to resolve any issues. MyDesignSecrets.com does not assume any liability for purchases or after purchase service from retailers. We do continually monitor the website and include only those vendors with a reputation for fairness, quality, and satisfactory customer service. Do you offer Interior Design services through the website? We would love to but we don’t have time to work with each and every one of you. We have developed this website to help our guests help themselves. Our goal is to effectively point you in the right direction and connect you with the right people. You will find valuable information on common home design decisions and products in our Blog.

Can I submit a vendor I really like for your review? Sure. We would be happy to consider a source that you feel would be a good fit for MyDesignSecrets.com. Just go to the Contact Me page and choose “Recommend a new vendor or resource” in the drop down menu.
